Out of the Cold
For the first time this year, BCSA will be involved in this Gospel-centered and interfaith outreach to the marginalized in our city. The program runs from November through April. Brock students, in association with the Cathedral of St Catherine of Alexandria and the Out of the Cold program, will provide a hot meal, companionship and overnight shelter to those in need.
Just as Jesus did in Matthew 25:35-40 and again in Luke 10:29-35, Pope Francis remind us of our need to serve the poor and marginalized:
“Among our tasks as witnesses to the love of Christ is that of giving a voice to the cry of the poor.”
(Pope Francis, 6/14/13)
